That Podcast in Hutch - Wesley Vaughn
Hutchinson Police Department officer discusses community, law enforcement, and animal husbandry!
In this week’s episode of That Podcast in Hutch, I think you’re in for a real treat.
I sit down with Sgt. Wesley Vaughn, with the Hutchinson Police Department. Wes has built a more than 20-year career in law enforcement - and during that time he has become known as a friendly and helpful face in our community.
In this episode, we visit about some of the changes he’s seen in law enforcement over the years, as well as the ways in which he’s grown and learned to handle some unimaginably difficult situations.
We also discuss the unique challenges he faces as both a member of law enforcement, and as a member of the African-American community.
And, I learned about Wes’ love of chickens, rabbits, and gardening.
I think you’ll learn a lot in this episode, and appreciate Wes’ openness and willingness to dive into some difficult areas of discussion. I know I did.
