Ben Jones, who represents our area on the State Board of Education, was defeated in the primary. He is one of those moderate Republican candidates, who lost to a more "suitable" Republican. He is and would have continued to be a very effective member of that board. As an unaffiliated voter, it's getting more difficult to find a candidate in our area to back.
